Decorated in antiques and oriental carpets, the home features hardwood floors, soaring high ceilings and tropical decor. Amenities include central heat and air conditioning, satellite tv, dvd player, two handmade brazilian hammocks, piano, library, movies, european bidet, bbq grill and smoker, outdoor shower, king size beds plus sofa bed in living room, daybeds for small children, and two screened porches with al fresco dining. the island is a tropical barrier island with no bridges....Acess is by boat only. If you choose to rent a boat while you are here, we provide a free dock slip for your use. If not, water taxis service the island, so getting back and forth to the mainland is never a hassle. Just bring your clothes, groceries and a tropical attitude!

Little gasparilla island is a delightful tropical barrier island just south of venice and north of ft. Myers. Cultural attractions about in sarasota and the edison home in ft. Myers is a popular attraction. Nearby boca grande, with its many shops and galleries and gourmet restaurants, is a local favorite. It also boasts the best tarpon fishing in the world. There is golf nearby at several local courses and there are kayak and jet ski rentals. Local guides will take you on shelling trips to deserted barrier islands or deep-sea fishing.
